Brief Description:
The Edenderry Inner Relief Road Phase 1 was delivered on behalf of Offaly County Council to improve traffic flow and connectivity within the town. The project involved the construction of a new road section and significant junction upgrades, forming a key component of Edenderry’s long-term transport infrastructure strategy. Tower acted as PSCS and main contractor, overseeing the safe and efficient execution of all works.

Detailed Description:
This project involved the construction of 350 metres of new roadway from Clonmullen Drive to Clonmeen Rise, along with the realignment and upgrade of two major junctions at Clonmullen and Clonmeen.
Works included the removal of 5,543 m² of pavement, 1,700 m² of concrete and cycleway, and over 10,000 m³ of inert material. New road build-up was completed using 200 mm AC32, 155 mm AC20, and a 45 mm HRA surface course across 7,511 m².
Additional works included surface water drainage, attenuation swales, traffic and public lighting, over 1,000 metres of fencing and noise barriers, as well as the construction of concrete footpaths, macadam cyclepaths, kerbing, line marking, and traffic signage. Tower also managed all traffic and pedestrian management in accordance with Chapter 8 guidelines, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment throughout.
